Tattoo services built around design decisions
Every piece starts with a clear brief: placement, size, style direction, and the constraints that keep a tattoo readable years from now. This page explains what we offer, what affects timing, and how we think about pricing without surprises.
Core service categories
Our service list is intentionally simple. Most projects fall into one of the categories below, then get tailored during consultation. We talk about line weight, value structure, and negative space early, because those are the choices that determine how a tattoo reads at arm’s length—and how it ages.
Custom tattoo design + application
A consultation-led workflow that starts with concept and composition, then moves into stencil checks and clean execution. Ideal for original pieces, reworks, and anything where placement and flow matter.
Fine line & micro-detail
Precise linework with careful spacing. We’ll simplify where needed to protect readability and prevent the “muddy” look as ink settles.
Blackwork & bold contrast
Dense blacks, strong silhouettes, and graphic shapes. A clean value ladder is the difference between “bold” and “heavy.”
Cover-ups & reworks
Planned around opacity, contrast, and what the old tattoo is doing under the skin. We’ll explain what can be hidden, what needs rebalancing, and whether multiple passes are realistic.
Color work
Solid packing and controlled gradients. We’ll recommend palettes that stay legible as the skin changes and the pigment softens.
How pricing works (without vague promises)
We price work based on scope, not hype. The practical drivers are session length, design complexity, placement, and how much ink density is involved. A small fine line piece can be fast but still requires careful layout; a bold blackwork piece may take longer because saturated blacks need methodical passes. Cover-ups add another variable: the existing tattoo’s value and opacity can force a different approach.
During consultation we’ll confirm a time estimate and a quote range. If the plan changes at stencil stage—size adjustment, repositioning, or a composition tweak—we’ll talk through it before we proceed. No pressure tactics, no surprise add-ons after the fact. For larger projects, we’ll map sessions around healing windows to protect line clarity and reduce overworking the skin.
Time estimate
We’ll give a realistic range (for example, 2–3 hours) once size, placement, and density are set.
Quote range
Quotes reflect scope and session time. For multi-session work, we’ll outline the plan and expected pacing.
What we ask for in a brief
-
Placement and approximate size (a quick measurement in centimeters helps more than “small/medium”).
-
Style direction: fine line, blackwork, illustrative, or color—and what you want to avoid.
-
Reference links described in words (we’ll request files after we reply by email if needed).
-
For cover-ups: a clear photo in neutral light and a note about the tattoo’s age and any prior touch-ups.
Hygiene and setup
We use single-use setups and barrier protection appropriate for a professional studio. If you want to understand the station flow—prep, stencil, execution, wrap—ask during your consult and we’ll walk you through it.
Request a quote
Share the essentials and we’ll respond with next steps: a consultation plan, a time estimate, and a quote range. We’ll only use your details to reply and coordinate scheduling. We do not sell your data.
Want guidance on the right style?
If you’re deciding between fine line, blackwork, or color, start with a consultation brief. We’ll recommend an artist match and a plan that suits placement, scale, and longevity.
